Abstract :
J.C. Gower´s similarity algorithm (1971) is flexible in its ability to classify objects with diverse types of attributes. The author extends Gower´s algorithm to handle composite objects using semantic data modeling. The resulting composite classification algorithm, which can be integrated with a knowledge base, facilitates the definition and use of prototype concepts
