Abstract :
We propose a new beamforming method using pilot channel in cdma2000 reverse link and evaluate the performance of it. Due to the pilot channel introduced in the reverse link of cdma2000, a reference signal based beamforming is guaranteed. The proposed beamforming method updates the weight by the complex NLMS algorithm using pilot channel and applies the weight to the traffic channel with symbol rate. The beamformer simply updates the weight with the reduced computational load compared to the blind method. The performance of the proposed beamformer is shown through the simulations
