Abstract :
A state feedback law for an affine nonlinear system that makes a compact set containing the equilibrium of interest globally attractive is designed. The problem is solved by designing a so-called control Lyapunov function, using Z. Artstein´s theorem (1983). Such a design is obtained for a nonlinear system which has already been maximally linearized by feedback and diffeomorphism
