Abstract :
Congestion due to high traffic rates and node density is one of the main challenges for multicast routing in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). A congestion detection scheme is proposed to improve the overall performance of such networks in both static and dynamic MANETs. Without degrading the protocol efficiency under normal network conditions, our proposed enhancement enable efficient use of bandwidth, resulting in performance improvement in terms of packet delivery ratio, normalized routing overhead, and latency
