Abstract :
STATCOM is a shunt reactive power compensation device, adjust the connection point line voltage, can enhance the transmission capacity in order to expand its line transient stability limit. In order to strengthen the line-voltage regulation, the high-voltage large capacities STATCOM have extensive needs. This paper presents a topology structure STATCOM which is based on the voltage source inverter, with a new model that combinated multi-level and multi-technology, Designed a three-level and quad-multiplex STATCOM for the main circuit structure inverter which is connected with a winding transformer. For the proposed STATCOM circuit structure gets Matlab simulation, the results showed that such devices not only increased installed capacity but also eliminate harmonics, at the same time makes the output voltage waveform becomes smooth, in order to meet the requirements for power system harmonics.
