Abstract
Window length and chirp rate-dependent short time Fourier transform (STFT) are powerful tools for the analysis of nonstationary signals. We define a criterion of instantaneous frequency concentration measure (IFCM), and give a simple iterative scheme to obtain an optimal time-frequency representation (TFR)
