Abstract
An intermediate frequency (IF) hybrid sequential code acquisition scheme designed for satellite CDMA systems is proposed. The received signal is directly sampled in IF using a 1-bit A/D converter. A continuous accumulator is utilized to increase effective signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), which is different from most of the sequential acquisition schemes. By employing this structure, faster acquisition can be achieved. This scheme has been verified by computer simulation proving that it can provide better performance then both the conventional sequential and serial acquisition scheme
