Abstract :
By analyzing traditional method of projection position, we present a location method based on the car edge examination and color information in this paper. The characters are divided up by the traditional methods, the template storehouse is made artificially; and the characters are distinguished. The experiment results show that: compare to the traditional method of projection, the localization method introduced in this paper is faster recognition and higher rate of accuracy. It has a more evident effect in processing the static image of the vehicle, so it´s suitable for parking lot, toll stations and other places.
