Abstract :
The periodicity and the trend which are nonlinear and dynamic are the crucial characteristics of hydrologic elements. The nonlinearity and dynamicity of these properties become more and more remarkable because the influence of geography, vegetation and the human activities. Wavelet Transform is the feasible method for the study of the nonlinear and dynamic system. The periodicity and the trend of precipitation in different mountain regions of Handan are illuminated with Morlet Wavelet Transform in Multi-time scales in this study. It is illustrated that the same periods (5 years and 9 years) exist in the precipitation in different mountain regions of Handan and there are the similar varieties and the similar trend in the same scale in different regions. This study would provide technical resorts and experiences for the research of water cycle and water resources management in the local basin.
