Abstract
A fault tolerant controller is designed for aircraft auto-landing by integrating a dynamic structured radial basis function network (RBFN) with traditional controllers. The RBFN, with the name of minimal resource allocating network (MRAN), is used in the outer loop to aid an inner conventional controller. Simulation results demonstrate satisfactory performance of the proposed MRAN neuro-flight controller for aircraft auto-landing even under severe wind and control surface loss.
