Abstract :
This paper presents the ability of hardware agents to implement data flow type synchronization. This type of synchronization is often employed when creating modern hardware to communicate between asynchronous hardware elements. The paper presents some examples to show the ability of hardware agents to implement data flow operations in different scenarios described as deterministic hardware agents, in fine grain and coarse grain implementations; hardware agent-based architecture handling both control flow and data flow; and intelligent, non-deterministic hardware agent that hints at some of the more advanced possibilities of hardware agent use.
