Abstract :
A heat engine coupling analysis with the method of three-dimensional finite element model of a specialized caliper disc brake is built. In addition, working condition analysis of an emergency brake has also been completed to get the temperature rise, the stress level and their distribution regularity. What´s more, possible failure causes are also added as well. The results demonstrate that analysis results is basically in line with the real working condition, which can be a definite guidance to design the caliper disc brake.
