Abstract
This paper presents a new low-profile compact antenna which was developed for wideband and multiband wireless applications. The uniqueness of the proposed antenna (patent pending) is the ease of configuring it for various wireless commercial needs by adjusting its structure parameters. Indeed, the antenna can be used for applications that require bandwidth from GPS to Bluetooth bands. It can also be configured for dual-band systems requiring the 1800-2500 MHz and the 5-GHz UNII bands, or just the two narrower unlicensed bands (2.45 and 5.25 GHz) for WLAN.
