Abstract :
This paper reports authors experimental investigation on head-disk contact velocity and tribo charge intensity. Measurements of trobo currents divide into three parts, deceleration, constant velocity and acceleration at various initial velocities (vi). It is observed that tribo current appears at different linear velocity for different disk initial velocity vi. A ripple of tribo current at large initial velocity during disk constant speed is observed while the slider is dragging on the disk surface. A calculation of tribo charge current at different initial velocity vi is similar with the observations.
