Abstract :
cdma2000 is one of the proposals currently being reviewed for the 3G systems. This paper addresses one of the areas of improvement of cdma2000 over the IS-95A/B based systems-the reliability of the paging channel. It analyzes the effects of putting the paging channel in soft handoff both from a physical layer, and a network perspective
