  • Abstract
Third generation (3G) wireless systems will provide all types of data services. This paper investigates two techniques of simultaneously providing packet data services to many users by using a single high-speed CDMA channel. WWW browsing is one of the suitable services for using these techniques. Multiple WWW browsing users within a cell will share a CDMA channel. System performance in terms of average delay and average packet queue length is studied by simulations. Results show that one of the techniques produces better performance than the other does for most scenarios investigated
