Abstract
Due to the advent of electronic commerce, the need for flexibility, adaptability and rapid response time to information services system has become increasingly important. In order to cope with the continuously changing conditions of service provision and utilization, Faded Information Field (FIF) has been proposed. FIF is a distributed information service system architecture that is sustained by push/pull mobile agents to bring high-assurance of services through users´ preference-oriented information prevision on supply-demand basis. In this paper we propose the technology for FIF design to resolve the competing requirements of users and providers to improve users´ access time. The effectiveness of the proposed technology is shown through evaluation and the results show that the appropriate structure of FIF can improve the total users response time compared with conventional system.
