Abstract :
Measurement and display of potential distributions or isochrome patterns within anisotropic, inhomogeneous myocardium is essential to understanding the complexities of the issues and the importance of these characteristics in contributing to normal and abnormal cardiac conduction and recovery. The authors have developed a set of tools designed to define and display isopotential and isochronal surfaces in three dimensions. The procedures for displaying the surfaces also may be useful for displaying three-dimensional potential distributions recorded from electrolytic tanks or calculated from forward simulations.<>
