Abstract
In this paper we analyze the relationship between illumination vectors that compose the response matrix in MUSIC imaging algorithm. In particular, aiming at achieving a minimum distance of well-resolved scatterers, we put forward a well-resolved condition for point targets and show that the corresponding illumination vectors are approximately orthogonal. The condition also presents the impact of the distance between scatterers on the imaging results. Numerical experiments are presented to verify the condition.
