Abstract :
A phase-coherent method to calculate the bispectrum was developed and applied to the analysis of the steady-state visual evoked potential (VEP). Numerical simulations and analyses of human VEP data show that the new method has much higher SNR than the classical method and that the bispectrum provides much more information about nonlinear interactions in the VEP than does the amplitude spectrum
