  • Abstract
    This paper presents a new method to define and obtain morphological ontology features for carp using its digital images. Currently there are some works that defines the ontological knowledge base, all of these works are based on the classification catalog and expert experiences, these methods use interactive human input to construct the knowledge base. Our new method will be based on digital photograph processing to analyse the pictures of the fish and a number of geometrical features of the fish are defined as its ontological features. The features selected are easily obtained geometrics and can be analysed using computer graphics. This paper picks the image of silver carp, common carp, and snake head as samples. Matlab measurement toolbox is used for the actual measurement. The new ontology data is analyzed and the results show that they can be used to identify the silver carp and distinguish it from other samples.
