  • Abstract
At present a lot of heterogeneous wireless access selection algorithms are presented in published literatures. However, none of them takes competition in resources between users into account. In order to solve this problem, a wireless network access selection algorithm is proposed using non-cooperative game theory. First, a actual data rate of user is calculated using the quality of the received radio signal, the characteristic of radio access technology(RAT) and way of allocating resources; second, a non-cooperative game is exploited to depict this competitive network selection behaviors of users with self-optimization; at last, nash equilibrium is applied to predict results of the selection behaviors for user. Simulation results shows that the proposed algorithm can adapt to dynamic change of network and the competition behavior of users with self-optimization can be interpretated.
