  • Abstract
The new structure of muffler in simple expansion chamber muffed was designed in this paper. On the base of standard GB/T4760-1996, the testing rig was made to lower exhaust back pressure and reduce engine power consumption, and then three muffler prototypes were manufactured. Comparative analysis is done aim at some parameters, such as the acoustic pressure level of input and output, the sound pressure level difference and pressure difference between input and output. The test result shows that this structure achieves the requirement preferably in middle-high frequency noise.
