  • Abstract
    According to the structural characteristics of the upper cross beam on a particular 20MN forging hydraulic press, the beam´s strength is checked by the method of materials mechanics. Then the solid modeling is created by the PROE, and analysis is carried out by use of ANSYS software to study the stress and displacement under the nominal pressure. The results show that the finite element method is reliable and a reasonable structure design of the beam is gotten. At the same time, further optimization is suggested.
