Abstract :
This paper describes a prototype ultra wideband ground penetrating radar system (RadioStar) that operates in the frequency range from 0.1-3400 MHz using digitally generated arbitrary waveforms and an innovative up-conversion scheme. The radar system includes a specially designed broadband monopole antenna array with electronic scanning of the elements for efficient 3D imaging of the subsurface
