Abstract :
Three types of voltage-controlled current-regulated PWM (pulsewidth-modulated) inverters are proffered as alternatives to the traditional open loop inverter. The authors present analytical and experimental results that demonstrate the equivalency between the two types of inverter drives during normal operation and the superior performance of the voltage-controlled current-regulated PWM controller during overload conditions.<>
