Abstract
This paper proposes a new stereophonic acoustic echo canceller to prevent impairment on speech communication at the instant of abrupt change of the transmission room environment. The fundamental problem existing on the stereophonic acoustic echo canceller is the misconvergence of the estimated impulse responses and the variation of the suboptimal solutions for adaptive echo canceller at every instant of change of transmission room environment. To overcome these drawbacks, this paper introduces a robust subband echo canceller deploying pre-processing block so as to enhance the convergence speed and provide insusceptibility to the environment change of transmission room.
