Abstract :
Describes a set of methods to process polygraphic recordings. This parallel signal processing approach has the advantage to produce a condensed representation of the different physiological rhythms (heart rate, blood pressure, motility, ...) and a set of cardiovascular parameters related to an event, for example periodic leg movements (PLM). Important cardiovascular changes during the PLM are quantified with this methodology and reveal new possible insights for a better understanding of the disease. This analysing methodology is a general one that can be used to a large variety of polygraphic recordings concerning the cardiovascular system
