Abstract
Detection of neural action potentials is an essential phase in the analysis of extracellular recordings and it may contribute to the control of prosthetic systems. A fully automated algorithm for on-line detection or neural waveforms is presented and a hardware implementation for 8-channel, real-time operation is described
