Abstract :
The growing demand for higher data rates and greater bandwidth for commercial and government communications satellite systems is driving significant advances in the performance of space traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) at L-3 Communications Electron Technologies, Inc. (L-3 ETI). L-3 ETI, formerly Hughes Aircraft EDD and then Boeing EDD, has been a world leader in the development and production of TWTs and TWTAs for satellite applications since the launch of the Syncom II satellite in 1963
