Abstract :
In this paper a new control strategy for stability enhancement of MicroGrid (MG) is presented. Due to nonlinear and stochastic behavior of MGs and the probability existence of a severe disturbance, which is named islanding, the proposed controller is based on Sliding Mode Control (SMC). This controller is very practical for MGs; if a Distributed Generation (DG) in MG is ruined, it can keep system stability and if a DG is added to MG, this controller can be able to help system to operate in stable conditions. This controller is placed in a synchronous DG. Due to numerous benefits of Synchronous DGs, they spread in Distribution Systems (DS) extensively. Synchronous DGs are dispatchible DGs that can be used to stabilize MGs. For avoiding chattering in Sliding Mode Controller, Fuzzy Controller is used.
