Abstract :
Describes the implementation of a system for on-line acquisition and processing in long-term monitoring for spike detection and a quantitative-qualitative analysis of the human scalp EEG. The spike recognition method is based in the morphological signal characterization, with special emphasis in the sharpness criteria. This work constitutes a stage of a computerized system development for amplification, signal conditioning, acquisition, processing and analysis of the human scalp EEG for basic clinical and research applications
