Abstract :
Coupling of lines is similar to that of phases on common-tower parallel lines with narrow line-to-line distance, which can increase the possibility of interline faults. Based on the fact, in this paper an interline fault approximate algorithm using average mutual inductance parameters has been proposed. And all the 98 interline faults have been divided into three groups in which calculation ideas were discussed respectively. By comparing the manual calculation results to the alternative transients program (ATP-EMTP), it shows the new algorithm has the advantages of having definite physical meaning, being with simple and easy calculation process, being capable of rapid calculation and suitable for rapid qualitative analysis for interline faults.
