Abstract :
Computer-aided analysis and simulation of AC-to-AC converters with thyristors is presented. Thyristors are modeled as series-resonant converters using either line or load commutation. Both three-phase and single-phase circuits, including frequency multipliers, cycloinverters, and cycloconverters, are modeled and simulation results compared to theoretical.<>
