Abstract :
This paper presents a comparative analysis of several genes associated with high risk of Type 2 Diabetes (TCF7L2, KCNJ11, PPARG) from various species. We used Nucleotide Genomic Signal (NuGS) for visual representation and rough comparison of the genes. For a more detailed analysis we built a phylogenetic tree and computed a statistical model by position-specific scoring matrix (PSSM) for each candidate gene. The result of the study may identify novel mutations involved in the pathology of Type 2 Diabetes by statistically analyzing mutually shared associations.
