Abstract :
The real-time video transmission demands not only tremendous bandwidth, but also a strict requirement on delay. In this paper, on the basis of research on the present situation of multi-interface multi-channel Ad Hoc networks, we analysis the extant routing protocols´ advantages and disadvantages for video transmission. Firstly, we applied multi-interface multi channel extension method to the AOMDV (Ad-hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector) routing protocol, and improved extant channel switching algorithm, called MIMC-AOMDV (Multi-Interface Multi-Channel AOMDV) routing protocol. Secondly, we proposed video streaming delay QoS constraint and link-quality metrics, which used the multi interface queue´s total used length to get QMMIMC-AOMDV (Quality metric MIMC -AOMDV) routing protocol. The results show that the proposed QMMIMC-AOMDV can reduce the frame delay effetely and raise frame decodable rate and peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), so it is more suitable for real-time video streams.
