Abstract :
Currently audio encoding rate selection is mostly based on the extent of the channel congestion. This paper presents an analysis of complexity of audio based on Mean Opinion Score (MOS). A primitive encoding rate selection system is also set up for evaluation. The different styles of music exhibit various requirement of encoding rates in the view of MOS. Experiment results indicate that the proposed system gives good estimation of encoding rate given the music style.
