Abstract
Traditional indexes cannot forecast the degree away the voltage collapse point, this paper applies the index based on the short-circuit capacity to Hubei Power Grid, the results proves that the index is a fast tracking index of responding to voltage changes. The paper also compares the voltage stability indexes of two load models of considering distribution network and not considering distribution network, it verifies the influence of distribution network impedance on load bus voltage, and it is benefit for taking measures in time when voltage instability of distribution network extends to transmission network.
