Abstract
In this paper, a novel method utilizing a multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) gas-ionization sensor based on Lyapunov exponent algorithm was proposed for argon, ethanol, acetone, and ammonia detection. The sensor was used as anodic sensor. Responses of MWNT sensor to four gases was measured and processed by Lyapunov exponent. Experimental results showed that the MWNT sensor array based on Lyapunov exponent could distinguish gas species successfully.
