Abstract :
In this paper, we present an algorithm of DCT speech enhancement based on the masking properties of human auditory system. The aim is to keep residual noise below the noise masking threshold of clean speech signal and to make less speech distortion. The experimental results show a satisfied performance of the proposed algorithm. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm is very promising, in that it is more efficiently computable and easier implemented on DSP than existed algorithms for real-time applications.
