  • Abstract
    In this paper an ultra-wide-band partial discharge measuring system is introduced. These systems are approximately new. Advantages of this system such as effective noise reduction, feature extraction based on pulse waveform are discussed. A new feature for separating different types of pulses is proposed. This feature is dominant frequency of the pulse waveform. A practical partial discharge measurement using the mentioned system was done on a hydro-generator in three cases. Applying the new feature showed the effective separating performance.
