Abstract :
In order to reduce the power consumption of impeller blower and increase its blowing distance, effects of impeller´s rotational speeds and blade´s slanted angles on the power consumption and blowing distance of impeller blower were studied on an impeller blower test bench, which was developed as the test machine for studying blowing performance of impeller blowers. Results suggested that when impeller´s external diameter was Φ700mm, its optimal rotational speed was within a range between 800 and HOOr/min. Radial blade consumed minimum power while blade with a backward slanted angle of 10° could achieved the longest blowing distance. This study could provide a basis for parameter optimization for impeller blowers.
