Abstract :
This paper presents a method for modeling EM devices, where sample data obtained by a numerical EM solver is approximated into a rational matrix of complex s. The model is described in verilog-AMS, thus, the EM devices can be simulated with mixed analog/digital circuits described at various abstraction levels. To generate the model, the selective orthogonal matrix least-squares method is presented. The computational efficiency of the proposed approach is confirmed on a commercial simulator, compared with the numerical EM method.
