  • Abstract
The tactical battle space will require sophisticated C4ISR that is well meshed in a robust manner. The function of network operations (NetOps) is to define, plan, implement, execute and manage the infrastructure for this C4ISR. This briefing addresses how the evolving heterogeneous NetOps management structure can interoperate via Web services. Work on the Army Future Force Network Management System (FFNMS) and the Air Force Common Load Format (CLF) is used as examples of near term deliverables. While each of the groups developing NetOps Web services has its legitimate boundaries, it is believed that the resultant Web services can, and should be deployed in all future Tactical Battle Space NetOps.
