Abstract :
Storm response is a difficult task because of Mother Nature´s unpredictability. However, there are steps utilities can take to ensure they have the right products on hand to restore power quickly, without being left with excess inventory after power is restored. In addition to building good supplier relationships and planning ahead, utilities should tap into new, innovative products that enable rapid response and service restoration. This paper will focus on successful storm response strategies for electric utilities.
