Abstract
This paper presents results of an integrated condition monitoring of a power transformer. The main concern is that the equipment produces unusual vibration and noise, which is significantly higher than those initiated by similar type of transformers operated in the region. Several condition monitoring techniques were applied to the transformer including vibration and partial discharge measurements. The measurement results indicated that the transformer initiates a high level of vibration at twice power frequency. Similar indication was also discovered from measured partial discharge data.
