Abstract :
It is shown that it is impossible to configure a conventional class E amplifier so that it will operate with simultaneous load-independent output current and efficiency. The exception to this is a trivial circuit in which the output current and efficiency are zero. As a consequence, the dual of this topology cannot be configured to provide simultaneous load-independent output voltage and efficiency
