Abstract
The functions of a static biarticular dynamometer for the upper limb are described and its purpose illustrated by comparing control strategies at the shoulder and elbow joints between a hemiparetic and a healthy subject during an ipsilateral prehension task. Its potential in rehabilitation research is discussed
