Abstract :
This paper is concerned with the multiplication of Ternary numbers using Booth Algorithm. A new encoding table for Ternary input is developed. The Multiplier is encoded using the new approach to perform multiplication of both signed and unsigned Ternary numbers. The proposed encoding reduces the number of adders required compared to the conventional Ternary array multiplier. Simulation results are obtained using Model Sim.
