Survey of CCD image mosaic techniques

The paper gave a systemic introduction on the mosaic significance of images taken by the ordinary CCD imaging devices and on the problems easily arising from the course of image mosaics. Then, introduced and discussed recent algorithm as well as classical algorithm of the two main image mosaic methods: Region-based and Feature-based. Especially expounded the application of wavelet transformation in the feature-based mosaic methods. At last looked into the future of image mosaic techniques.
